This is our living room complete with Chuck reading his book. As I said, it's very comfortable.
And our lovely bedroom, with a lamp on each side of the bed so we can read at night.
And here's the kitchen...a narrow space behind the living room and in front of the bathroom.
We wandered around downtown this morning. It takes us about 20 minutes to get to center city, Heredia from our place. It's all down hill from here to there, really, really downhill...tomorrow I'm going to try and decide what the slope is on the road we walk down, steep for sure. We wandered thru some markets and the central park and came to a large-ish grocery store, Pali where we picked up some staples for the apartment.
When we got back home and sorted out lunch, which we ate on our patio (see photo at top). I decided it was time to try out the washing machine. Basically, you load in soap and water and then put your clothes in the agitator side, set the amount of time you want and then come back, turn the machine to drain, after draining the gray water, fill tub, rinse, repeat till the water runs clear...very soft water and rinsing took a while. Note to self, next time less soap. Anyhow, then you put your clothes in the centrifuge side to ring them out...hang 'em till they dry, which may be a long time in this humidity.
Let me know how this blog loads for you, I really pushed the amount of photos...so is it slow? Are the photos reasonably in the right order? How does it look?

Pat, it opens just fine, with no delay. Glad you figured out the shower! (And that statement in no way reflects the fact that my code word to enable this post was "sties"!)
ReplyDeleteNice to see your place.. Looks cozy... Everything loaded fine and in perfect order.
ReplyDeleteNice to read about your happenings!
Awesome job Pat and it's an excellent read!
ReplyDeleteNo problem with loading. When I was about 9 years old, we lived in a cold water apartment in the Andes of Peru. The shower came with a heater like yours, but the water was too cold to warm up as it came from melting glaciers in the surrounding mountains. We attached a second heater, to no avail. My father built a little wood frame in the shower stall and lined it with heavy plastic. We heated water on the stove for baths.
